No you can eat it either hot or cold. Cold pitta are great cut into strips and used for dips such as tzatziki.

Pitta pocket when they are hot due to the build up of steam in the inside. The easiest way is to pop into a toaster for a couple of minutes.

Q. How do you make pitta breads?A.
Pitta breads are made by mixing flour, water, yeast and salt together. The dough is then rolled out and cut to the correct size and shape. The bread is then prooved to allow the yeast to work and then baked through an oven.
