CSS Stylesheets

By using CSS styled type in place of image graphics for all navigation links, our website allows users to scale the size of on-screen text to suit their visual needs and even use screen reading software to access our information. Users can even change the size, typeface and colour of all the text on our website by specifying their own local stylesheet! (You'll need to change the preferences in your web browser to do this.) To further aid legibility we've developed an additional stylesheet that renders the site in a black and white format should you wish to print any of the pages for off-line reference.

Web Standards

Our web pages have been written to HTML 4.01 Transitional standards allowing the maximum possible number of users to view our site as designed. We've kept imagery to a minimum and avoided flashy animations - except where they can tell a story particuarly well - to keep down file sizes and make the whole experience as quick and easy as possible.
