A proud history
The company started trading in 1990 with a vision to produce high volumes of quality pitta and naan breads by using a unique production process invented by the company’s founder.
From 1990 to 1995 the company experienced exponential growth and supplied or was about to supply all of the major UK retailers. However, in December 1995 its two purpose built factories were destroyed by fire. In less than four months the business was rebuilt and started trading again in April 1996. Soon after the business shot up to a market leading position again that it has maintained ever since.
In 1999, Hossain Rezaei, founder, Chairman & CEO was awarded an MBE by the Queen for his pioneering activities and trend setting in the speciality flat bread market. Since 2000 the company has invested millions of pounds in capacity, the latest production technologies, many invented in house, and new products such as tortilla wraps. It has also developed an award winning export business.
